What happens when I'm there?
Following the mass, the priest will place the Eucharist (the Body of Christ) in the monstrance (a special display vessel) on the altar, and light candles. All gathered share in a brief prayer with the priest.
From there, it's up to you: Stay for as little or as long as you need to. If you can't be present from the beginning, you're welcome to come when you can (weekday mass is about 20 minutes long, so Adoration would probably begin between 12:35-12:40). You can kneel, sit, stand, pray, meditate, read--this is a time for internal worship and connection with Christ.
But do I have to be a Catholic to come to Adoration?
There are no prerequisites for spending time with Christ -- All are welcome! If you are interested in joining us, we want you here.
